It is, hands down, my favourite tv channel will always be AFC (Asian Food Channel), my favourite place to watch skilled, inspired, uncelebrated cooks do their thing in the kitchen. Blink and I definitely miss those days spent in front of my favourite TV channel. Miss them cracking eggs and a dropping a link of sausages into a sauce pan before sticking it under a broiler and scooping it out on toast.
While somehow when I make guacamole at home it tastes to me like, you know, Doritos dipped in guacamole, it tastes like magic – vibrant, rich, sour and salty at once.
Upon rounds and rounds of study and research (woe is me) under this cold, I have come to the conclusion that making an egg avocado sandwich would be good too, since my mom packed a box of three into my luggage when I came back here on the other day.
I crave for those thin slices of totally unfancy seven-grain sandwich bread. The kind you already have around. (From Jaya Grocer )
I mashed it with a fork, as I do not have many utensils here.
Boiled eggs, avocado, olive oil, salt and lemon. Together, these things are so so good, so much better than any of others.
My final point is that, I have only one very strong opinion on this sandwich and it is that I hope everyone would stop making it so complicated in an effort to either up-sell it.
2. 3 hard-boiled eggs
3. 1 large ripped avocado
4. 1 tablespoon of olive oil
5. 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
6. A pinch of salt
1. Mash egg & avoacdo together, season with salt & pepper.
2. Drizzle olive oil into it. Repeat with lemon juice.
3. Spread the goodness bottom of the bread then other half of bread. Slice the bread into diagonal.
Tadaaaa….. The sandwich is ready to be served! How simple!
